International Art Pre-foundation Courses

Art Pre Foundation ImageThe One-year Art pre-Foundation course is aimed at students who wish to study Art, Design, Fashion or Photography at Foundation level at university in the UK, but who do not have the necessary experience or creative skills to apply directly to the universities following their high school education.

A number of the UK’s art universities will also accept students directly onto Degree level programmes after completing this course. Students choose three subjects (three at full A level, or two at full A level and one at AS level) from:

  • Fine Art
  • Textiles and Fashion
  • Graphic Communication
  • Ceramics
  • Photography
  • History of Art

... and if required, English (IELTS) for one year. Students will also receive specialist help on portfolio and interview preparation for their university applications. Students are normally required to be a minimum of 17 years old to follow this programme, and have an IELTS level (or equivalent) of 5.0.

The course is run at our London college, and students can take advantage of the opportunity to visit the numerous galleries and exhibitions close to the school. The end of year exhibition allows our students to showcase their work.

Entrance is based on an interview and, if required, a written test or portfolio review.
