Easter Revision: AS, A2 and A Level courses

Reforms to the current A level system mean that in some subjects students will sit all their exams in Summer 2017. Meanwhile, other subjects have yet to undergo reform and so students may sit either AS exams, A2 exams, or a mixture of AS, A2 and A level exams. In order to accommodate this complex arrangement we offer a range of different courses.

A level courses (reformed)

These courses relate to subjects that have now been fully reformed. Students studying these subjects will sit all their A level exams related to these subjects in one go. For this reason we have designed bespoke full-day, week-long courses that run Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. These courses will provide 35 hours of tuition.

English Language, English Literature and History have also been subject to A level reforms. However, due to the range of topics and texts on offer we offer a more bespoke arrangement for these subjects which can be discussed with a member of our Easter Revision team.

A2 courses (unreformed)

In Weeks 1 and 2, A2 courses will run Monday to Friday from 9am to 12.30pm and/or from 1.30pm to 5pm.    Week 3 courses will run for half a week, ie full day on Monday and Tuesday plus Wednesday morning and/or Wednesday afternoon plus full days on Thursday and Friday. These courses provide 17.5 hours of tuition.

AS level courses (reformed and unreformed)

In Weeks 1 and 2, AS level courses will run Monday to Friday from 9am to 12.30pm and/or from 1.30pm to 5pm.    Week 3 courses will run for half a week, ie full day on Monday and Tuesday plus Wednesday morning and/or Wednesday afternoon plus full days on Thursday and Friday.

If you are interested in attending an A level revision course this Easter, please email the following information to easter@cambridge.mpw.co.uk:

  • Name of student
  • Student's Easter holiday dates/availability
  • Subject(s) required
  • Exam board and level (i.e. AS or A2) for each subject
  • Accommodation requirements (if applicable)

One of our Course Directors will then prepare a provisional timetable, with costs, and email it to you for your consideration. Where students wish to study A level subjects that are not included in the subject list, they should contact one of our Course Directors to discuss their requirements.
