The course will cover Paper 1: Visual Analysis and Interpretation and Unit: 2 Themes in Art History. It will not be possible to cover all the topics, so we will focus on a selection, made to ensure students can respond successfully to the required number of questions.

  • Creation of pictorial space in painting and relief sculpture

  • Scale of painting, sculpture and architecture
  • Appropriate architectural, art and art historical terminology
