OCR H230 (AS Specification), H240 and H460 MEI (A level New Specification) only

H230 (AS Specification)

This course is board-specific for the OCR AS level specification (H230). The following content is covered:

  • Pure Maths: Proof; Algebra and functions; Coordinate geometry in the (x,y) plane; Sequences and Series; Trigonometry; Exponentials and logarithms; Differentiation; Integration; Vectors.
  • Applied Maths: Statistical sampling; Data presentation and interpretation; Probability; Statistical Distributions; Statistical hypothesis testing; Quantities and units in mechanics; Kinematics; Forces and Newton’s laws.

This course consists of five half-day sessions across either five mornings or five afternoons. 

H240 (A level New Specification)

This course is board-specific for the NEW OCR A level specification (H240). The following content is covered:

  • Pure Maths: Proof; Algebra and functions; Coordinate geometry in the (x,y) plane; Sequences and Series; Trigonometry; Exponentials and logarithms; Differentiation; Integration; Numerical Methods;  Vectors.
  • Applied Maths: Statistical sampling; Data presentation and interpretation; Probability; Statistical Distributions; Statistical hypothesis testing; Quantities and units in mechanics; Kinematics; Forces and Newton’s laws; moments.

This course consists of five full-day sessions across one week.

H460 (A level New Specification)

This course is board-specific for the NEW OCR MEI A level specification (H460). The following content is covered:

  • Pure Maths: Proof; Algebra; Functions; Graphs: Coordinate Geometry; Sequences and Series; Trigonometry; Exponentials and Logarithms; Calculus; Numerical Methods, Vectors.
  • Applied Maths: Sampling; Data presentation and interpretation; Probability; Probability Distributions; Statistical hypothesis testing; Models and quantities; Kinematics in 1 dimension; Kinematics in 2 dimensions; Projectiles; Forces; Newton’s laws of motion; rigid bodies.

This course consists of five full-day sessions across one week.
