Field trips offer our students the opportunity to enhance their learning experience away from their regular college environment. It provides a setting for them to learn in a hands-on and interactive manner while helping them develop critical skills, such as teamwork.
Every year, numerous field trips are organised to increase students’ understanding of and exposure to curriculum related topics.
Brekekekex koax koax – It’s all (Ancient) Greek to me!
On the evening of Wednesday 16th October, Classics students at MPW had the opportunity of attending a trip to the Cambridge Arts Theatre to watch two plays. These plays were performed in the original ancient Greek by members of Cambridge University’s Classics Department.
Biology-Geography Field Trip
On Wednesday 2nd October, 23 Biology and Geography students travelled to the east Norfolk coast in order to collect some scientific data for both subjects' practical assessments.
Death Defying Trip to the Seaside
After a shaky start, experiencing the bus journey from hell, we arrived at Winterton-on-Sea. With our equipment at the ready, the biologists and geographers, trekked up the sand dunes, taking measurement after measurement at intervals of ten metres. These ten metres were harder to measure than we had expected but before long we had our collected data on the sand dune characteristics, from embryo to heath land.
Business Studies Trip with Tutor2u in London
A highly popular Business Studies revision workshop was attended by A Level students. It was run by Tutor2u and was held at the VUE cinema in London, on Friday 30th November.
