£2500 raised over the past six years for Children in Need. That’s a lot of carrots
Not much fun being a rabbit, just in case you hadn’t noticed. Spend most of our time either being shot at and then stuck in a stew or what not. Or being told how truly ‘cute’ and ‘cuddly’ we are. Even got this in French a couple of Fridays ago. Wouldn’t look so ‘adorable’ if I stuck my carrot in your eye, would I ‘cheri’??
MPW Birmingham’s Nominated Charity - Edwards Trust
During the course of the year, the students and staff at MPW Birmingham decided to look for ways to support our local charity, Edward’s Trust and ultimately decided that the best way to do this would be to have them as our nominated charity. This has meant that where possible, staff and student fundraising activities have been focussed on this very worthy cause. This has manifested itself on a number of levels and has led to a number of activities occurring.
POETRY Competition
Since 1994, National Poetry Day has engaged millions of people with poetry through a range of live events and web-based activities for people young and old throughout the country. To celebrate verse and encourage students to demonstrate their poetic flair, MPW Library decided to launch their first college-wide poetry writing competition in autumn 2013. The event attracted entries from all corners of the college, from Year-10 students to staff members.

On Thursday 10th October MPW Sports Ambassador Paula Radcliffe MBE delivered a presentation to the GCSE and A-level students here at Cambridge.
