Year 13 and Year 14 Psychology students were treated to a day at the Tutor2u workshop covering exam technique at the Vue Cinema in Stratford on the 26th of March. Tutor2u are recognised as experts in this field, having several sold-out conferences each academic year.

Students assembled at the college at 8.30am and travelled by coach arriving at the venue by 10am. Students were accompanied by the Head of Department, Dr Konstantinos Foskolos, and Dr Andrew Moore.

The workshop consisted of two sessions; the morning session covered approaches and issues and debates along with research methods. The afternoon session covered exam technique. The sessions were interactive with students completing tasks throughout the workshop. MPW students impressed us by completing several of the tasks with great accuracy and sharing their answers with the audience. It was excellent revision just before the Easter break.

The conference finished at 3.30pm. Verbal feedback from the students was positive, they felt it was a worthwhile exercise, the presenting of information in a new format was especially helpful. Staff also had the opportunity to discuss issues with Tutor2u staff regarding exam techniques. Students returned by coach arriving at the college at 5pm, concluding a productive day.
