We are delighted to report that MPW Cambridge has secured its place in the top 5% of schools nationally for student progress. This outstanding rating is based on its ‘value added’ score, which is complied by ALPS, an independent platform that measures student progress at A level and GCSE.

The ALPS score is a robust indicator of student progress. It compares the grades students actually achieve with the grades they were expected to achieve based on their prior academic performance. Our placement in the top 5% of schools in the country demonstrates how our students have not just met their academic potential, but have substantially surpassed it during their time with us. This is reflected in our consistently outstanding exam results – this year, 43% of A level grades were A*/A.

First and foremost, this outstanding student progress is a testament to the commitment and ambition of the students themselves, who have fully embraced the opportunities and academic support available to them. These include one-to-one support through our Personal Tutor system, regular timed assignments and the individual attention that only small class sizes can deliver.

We also recognise the remarkable efforts of our teaching staff, whose expertise and dedication underpin everything we do. Our tutors consistently go above and beyond to guide students, adapting lessons to meet individual needs and ensuring every learner feels supported and motivated to succeed. Moreover, they help to shape the purposeful, mature, and supportive atmosphere in which our students thrive.
