  • Curriculum developed by EtonX, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eton College
  • Subjects cover life and careers skills such as entrepreneurship and resilience
  • Two-weeks face-to-face tutoring, with a further 12 months online access

We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with EtonX to deliver an exclusive programme for our upcoming 2022 Summer School.

EtonX, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eton College, has developed a unique Life Skills programme for delivery by our tutors at MPW Birmingham and MPW Cambridge. The two colleges are host venues for the MPW Summer School in 2022.

The innovative programme will offer students the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the skills and attributes needed to succeed in the workplace. The subjects covered by the programme include entrepreneurship, resilience, public speaking, making an impact, critical thinking and creative problem solving.

Students will be taught face to face over the two-week duration of the Summer School. In addition, they will continue to enjoy online access to the self-study programme for a further 12 months after the Summer School ends. This blended learning model is a first for the summer schools market.

A collaboration of two leading innovators in education

Lee Hawes, MPW Summer School Director says, “We are excited to be the only summer school in the UK to be partnered with EtonX to deliver this unique programme, a collaboration of two leading innovators in education. In our view, the focus on contemporary life and careers skills is at the forefront of modern pedagogy, and perfectly complements our own high-quality academic content.”

Catherine Whitaker, CEO of EtonX says, “We’re delighted to be working with MPW to deliver this innovative summer school programme. Working with forward-thinking education providers like MPW allows us to reach students who are on track for success but need to ensure that they have a broad portfolio of skills to achieve their goals and be ready for whatever the future holds.”

A summer school like no other

The Life Skills programme forms part of our 2022 Summer School, which has been created for students aged 13-17 years old from countries across the globe. It will not only provide students with a high-quality academic programme, but also interactive careers-based experience programmes. There will also be a rich variety of social and cultural activities on offer, including overnight excursions to Bath, London and York. The Summer School runs from 26 June to 6 August.

We’ll be publishing more exciting details about the MPW Summer School in the coming weeks, with bookings opening in January 2022. In the meantime, click on the banner below to find out more.
