We are delighted to share that MPW Birmingham has ranked in the top 5% nationally for ALPS value added.

ALPS value added is a measure of student progress, which compares actual outcomes with expected grades based on students’ prior attainment. Ranking in the top 5% nationally means our students have not only met expectations but exceeded them, often by a considerable margin. This is a significant achievement and reflects the strength of our teaching and our approach to supporting all students to reach their potential.

This success is the result of a collective effort. Above all, we thank our students, whose commitment and determination have been a delight to see. Many embraced the academic infrastructure available at the college, particularly our weekly Timed Assignments. These assessments encourage synoptic revision and help students reflect on their progress to identify areas for improvement. In addition, many students attended supplementary revision workshops and took part in one-on-one sessions with our dedicated staff.

Our tutors deserve special recognition for their dedication and the guidance they provide. We want to express our sincere gratitude for their support. They have consistently gone above and beyond by offering extra sessions, adapting lessons to meet individual needs, and providing encouragement throughout the academic year. Their commitment extends beyond the classroom, creating a culture where students feel supported and motivated.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to building on this success, continuing to provide an environment where every student is supported and inspired to reach their academic potential.
