MPW University Foundation Programme

The MPW University Foundation Programme (UFP) is your route to the UK’s best universities. The programme, which is of a similar academic standard to A levels, allows you to follow flexible study pathways which will deepen your subject knowledge, improve your written and spoken English, and develop your study skills.

Studying in small class sizes, with an average of eight students and no more than 14, MPW provides a personal approach to education where teaching is tailored to the individual. Alongside your academic studies, every student is also individually supported by a Director of Studies with regular one-to-one meetings.

Our expert team provides you with extensive support throughout the university application process, ensuring that you are well-prepared and ready to join previous MPW UFP graduates who have progressed to Russell Group and other leading UK universities.

You will study one out of a choice of five pathways to prepare you for the university degree you would like to study:

Each pathway consists of a combination of six academic subject modules plus an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) module designed to equip you with the language ability and study skills that will give you a head start on your undergraduate degree in the UK.

To be eligible for the MPW University Foundation Programme you must:

Be aged 17+ at the start of the programme*
Have successfully completed local high school (either 11 or 12 year system) with good grades
Meet our English language level (IELTS or equivalent). Please see the individual pathway page for requirements.

Alternative tests such as TOEFL/ Cambridge cannot be used if a Student Visa is required.

*Applicants aged 16 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Results and destinations

Students on our MPW University Foundation Programme consistently achieve incredible success and our Class of 2024 is no different with 80% securing a Distinction or Merit.

These results helped students to progress to a range of prestigious universities including Durham University, University of Birmingham, University of Leeds, SOAS and City, University of London. In 2024, 100% of MPW students who applied to university were accepted to their first or second choice university.

University progression

We have arrangements in place with over 40 partner universities for graduates of the MPW University Foundation Programme, including Russell Group and other high ranking UK universities.

Upon completion of the programme, you can apply to any UK university through UCAS. We advise you to apply to our partner universities, as you have a greater chance of being accepted. In addition, some partner universities prefer a direct application, which means that you will be able to extend your choices beyond the five that UCAS allow, giving you a wider range of options.
