Activities & Sports
At MPW, we organise social and physical activities all year round providing our students a fun and relaxed environment to help them stay healthy, interact with peers who share common interests, enhance leadership skills and prepare for the future.
We believe studies are just part of the student experience; we encourage our students to take part in the social events ranging from raising awareness through a charity campaign, joining a debating session or simply stretching their legs and arms at the local climbing centre.
Students who love sport will have plenty of opportunity to meet up with likeminded friends – or make new ones through a large variety of sports clubs here at MPW.
At around 9.30am on March 20th 2015, students and tutors put down their pens and books and stepped outside to view a full solar eclipse.
GCSE Crime Scene Investigation
There's been a murder! Dr Nigel Baker is dead! Who did it? Our Year 10 GCSE science students are on the case. The body was found in the Chemistry laboratory with hardly any clues. Fortunately for the college, the group have being developing their forensic science skills this year and should have the murderer locked up in no time. Various tests have already taken place including fingerprinting suspects and taking DNA samples from the scene.

University Support Programme
Once the AS exams have finished, students are usually ready to relax after a year of hard work; however there is still a little more for them to do before they can fully enjoy the summer break. In the final few weeks of term we ensure that the students are fully prepared for the challenges related to applying for university through UCAS.
