World Mental Health Day

Posted by: James Bourne - 16 October 2019 - Activities & Sports - Read time: 1 Minute

In recognition of World Mental Health Day, students and staff spent the day dressed in yellow. Mental health problems can affect anyone, any day of the year, but World Mental Health Day is a great day to show support for better mental health and start looking after your own wellbeing.

Throughout the year the college provides students mental health support through our Personal Tutor system, the PSHE programme and our relationship with Open Door Youth Counselling who are on hand to support students who might be struggling with the pressures of being a teenage student in the UK.

In addition to showing solidarity around the theme of mental health, the college raised money for the mental health organisation Mind. For more information on how to support and improve your own mental health, vist www.mind.org.uk
