Activities & Sports
At MPW, we organise social and physical activities all year round providing our students with a fun and relaxed environment to help them stay healthy, interact with peers who share common interests, enhance leadership skills and prepare for the future.
We believe studies are just part of the student experience; we encourage our students to take part in social events ranging from raising awareness through a charity campaign, joining a debating session or simply stretching their legs and arms at the local climbing centre.
Students who love sport will have plenty of opportunity to meet up with likeminded friends - or make new ones - through a large variety of sports clubs here at MPW.
MPW London have a long history of success in football having won both leagues last year. We hope the team can continue that success this year! All match reports and fixtures can be found below.

Drama students perform extracts from Chekhov’s The Seagull
AS Drama students have been working to hone their acting skills this term and as part of their efforts, they performed extracts from Chekhov’s The Seagull for an audience in the theatre for the first time at the start of November. This gave the group an opportunity to put into practice the techniques they have been learning as well as becoming accustomed to being on stage and in front of an audience.

One-Day Film School
On the second Friday of term, the college invited the Young Film Academy to spend a day with year 12. This organisation helps young film makers to achieve their dreams. The day was split into two parts: the morning was all about learning and practice; and the afternoon was when we really got to work.
Summer Work Experience
In the summer I wanted to gain some experiences to support my studies and future career options. My passion is modern foreign languages and French and Spanish in particular. With this in mind, I contacted one of France’s leading commercial law firms and was offered a week’s work experience in Paris.
Summer Art Exhibition
Towards the end of the summer term, the MPW art exhibition evening private view took place and this year there was as usual, a fantastic range of work to see. All areas of the art department were on display and included ambitiously staged photography, textiles and ceramics along with a comprehensive range of painting and drawing.
World Poetry Day 2017
What is poetry? And can anybody write it or is it a skill of the literary elite? On 21st March, Ian Brinton, editor of The Use of English and a poet himself who has written books on Dickens and Emily Bronte, came to challenge the students to find their own answers to these questions.
