If you go down to the woods today…
We were extremely lucky because the sun shone brightly for our end of year GCSE picnic. This took place during the final Sports lesson of the Year on Wednesday 21st May. We spent two hours at Lammas Land enjoying the delicious picnic which Gustos café had prepared for us before going for a walk around the park.
The GCSE group of 23 students were accompanied by Malcolm Allured, Lisa Foster and Penny Isitt.
Some of the students sat in small groups and chatted, whilst enjoying the good weather. Another group bought a football from the café in the park and had an impromptu game on the grass.
Throughout the year the group has enjoyed taster sessions in a wide variety of sporting activities. They have joined in team games, tried a variety of martial arts and have used the multi gym and climbing wall during their lessons. The picnic was the last chance for them all to enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed atmosphere as the GCSE season is now well and truly here.
