Celebration of Achievement 2013

Celebration of Achievement 2013

On Monday 16 December we hosted our annual Celebration of Achievement. Well done to our class of 2013 who achieved an enviable 71.5% of all A level papers graded an A* to B. Our GCSE students maintained their stunning run of success with 80% of all papers being awarded A* to C grades. Our principal, Nick Marriott, presented the leavers with their certificates.

Our leavers this year returned to us full of news and stories from their university lives. We heard tales from Cambridge, Warwick, Durham, L.S.E and U.E.A, amongst others. It is a joy to have been a part of these students’ journey and we are honoured that they have returned to us for this one evening to share it with us.

As well as the academic awards, every Personal Tutor nominates some students to receive special awards to recognise their effort, humour or resilience. Pretty much anything you can think of!

This evening is one of the highlights of our academic calendar and one we look forward to. It is a time to reflect on what we do and meet up with friends old and new. Congratulations to the class of 2013 – we’ll miss you! Well done to all the prize winners and thank you to everyone that attended.
