Isle of Wight Geography Trip
On 25th-28th April MPW’s 24 A2 Geographers along with Paul Turner, Elizabeth Ryan and Michael McGrath packed their bags and headed to the (not so) sunny Isle of Wight, to put the theory they had learnt in the classroom into practice.

Annual CIFE Football Tournament
Congratulations to the Birmingham football team who reached the quarter finals of the CIFE football tournament. The coveted tournament is held annually at St George Park, Burton the English Football Association's national football centre.

MPW tutor features in History documentary
In January 2014, I was approached by a film-maker who was working on a documentary on Anglo-Russian rivalry in Central Asia during the 19th Century, otherwise known as ‘the Great Game’. He wanted as a ‘talking head’ a British historian who could speak on the subject.
Goals Galore!
Birmingham hosted Bath Academy and ran out handsome winners by nine goals to five.
Birmingham retain MPW Challenge Trophy
MPW Birmingham retain the MPW Challenge Trophy after an entertaining 3-3 draw away at MPW Cambridge. Birmingham showed resilience in coming back from 2-1 and 3-2 down to a spirited Cambridge team. If truth were told, Birmingham squandered many chances, which on another day they would have converted. Credit to both teams for such an entertaining game.
Study Skills Seminar
We will be hosting a series of Study Skills Seminars on Tuesday afternoons in the student common room. Students will be assisted with setting goals, planning, how to make use of support at MPW and revision strategies.
Congratulations Dr Green
Our inspirational Chemistry teacher, Claire Green, has now completed her doctorate at the University of Birmingham and we are delighted to be able to refer to her as Dr Green.
