Welcome to MPW Boarding

Dear Boarders, Parents and Guardians,

We are delighted to welcome boarders to our brand new facility at Queen’s Gate House, offering fantastic accommodation and the opportunity to build a real boarding community here at MPW London. We opened in January 2023, and since then we have built a real sense of community. We know the returning boarders are excited to welcome our new students, and I hope you will feel happy, safe and at home here with us in Queen’s Gate House.

We have a fantastic team of Houseparents who are experienced, keen and enjoy living and working together to support our boarders in one international community.

Our boarding staff would like to start getting to know their new boarders. As such, we would love it if boarders could send us photos of themselves in their countries, perhaps with family or pets, so we can start to have a sense of who they are and where they’re from. Please email your photos to our House Parents.

We also encourage boarders to bring posters and photos from home to decorate the noticeboards in their rooms – we really want them to feel at home with us in our single, en-suite rooms. To celebrate the diversity of our boarding house, we’d also like our boarders to bring some national items with them – flags, non-perishable foods, and other items to showcase their country!

On this page, you will find forms which you should complete and return to us, plus lots of useful information including details of our boarding software, REACH, for which parents and guardians will receive a login shortly before boarders start. This is an important aspect of boarding with us, as we use it for signing in and out, leave requests and signing up for trips and activities in boarding. In addition, all boarders will receive a copy of our Boarding Handbook upon arrival.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming boarders to our MPW London Boarding community!

Best wishes.

Trips and activities

We plan a wide range of trips and activities for boarders throughout the term. Our in house activities will include such events as film nights, open mics, and special occasions for Chinese New Year, Valentines Day, and International Day and Nowruz celebrations.

Beyond the boarding house, we will also head into the city to make the most of the amazing activities that London has to offer. These activities are a great way to get to know other students, see the sights of London, and enjoy new experiences. More details of what we have planned will be shared upon arrival.

REACH boarding school software

reach logoMPW Boarding will use REACH Boarding School Software. This software enables students to sign out to specific locations, which is important for our duty of care to boarders and helps us to know where students are at all times.

It will also be the system used for parents and guardians to raise leave requests, add hosts, and give permissions for time outside of school.

Parents and educational guardians will soon receive login details for REACH; please sign in to REACH either on your browser or by downloading the parent app, available on Android and iOS.

Parents’ guides for the use of REACH, quick guides, videos and other useful information about using the system can be found on the REACH website.
