Easter Revision: A Level
For Year 13 students, MPW London offers one-week, exam board-specific courses across a wide variety of reformed subjects and specifications.
For Year 12 students, we run 20 hour board specific courses for those wanting to consolditate their Year 12 key topics areas as well as concentrating on their exam technique with extensive and intensive essay skills classes.
The board specificity of our courses means that they focus on the question style, examining criteria and past papers which are relevant to the particular exam board and syllabus that students are studying at school. The exceptions are History and Literature where the courses are topic-specific.
This tailoring aspect of our courses means that students do not waste time or risk becoming confused by covering material which is not relevant to their needs but it is vital, therefore, that students provide us with as much information as possible about the precise specifications/options that they are following at school.
One of our Course Directors will then prepare a provisional timetable, with costs, and email it to you for your consideration. Where students wish to study A level subjects that are not included in the subject list, they should contact one of our Course Directors to discuss their requirements.

Easter Revision: GCSE and IGCSE
Our GCSE courses are, in general, not board- or syllabus-specific. This is because the National Curriculum sets out prescribed core topic areas, which must be covered by all syllabuses. It is on these core topics that our GCSE courses focus. If care is taken to enter on the registration form the examining board and syllabus number, we can alert parents if their son or daughter is being taught pilot, experimental or otherwise unusual syllabuses, which would be incompatible with the courses on offer.
Please note that we only offer the higher tier on all syllabuses. View the course outlines for for each subject below.

Extra Tuition
Extra Tuition
MPW is not just a college for students at MPW. We work late and we provide extra tuition or ‘Supplementary Tuition’ for lots of pupils who are full-time at other schools. Lessons can, subject to tutor availability, be arranged in the late afternoon or in school holiday periods.
Extra coaching is usually undertaken on a one-one basis as Individual Tuition rather than in groups. It’s a bit like being in a homework club, except that you have the undivided attention of your tutor. We’re teaching you, going over material you’re struggling with at school or getting you ahead of material that you may be covering in the future.
We do not provide individual tuition at pupils’ homes, though. We don’t believe in it. The best tutors don’t want to travel around during the evenings, but they are often happy to stay on at work after they have finished teaching MPW students to do some extra coaching for external students.
If you’re interested, please email the Individual Tuition team at and we will get back to you to discuss tutor availability and timetables.
